Trinnov and ASCENDO Bring Revolutionary Immersive Bass to Audio Advice Live

Paris, France, and Heilsbronn, Germany – July 10, 2025 – Trinnov Audio and ASCENDO Immersive Audio GmbH are partnering to host an immersive home theater demonstration at Audio Advice Live 2025 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The demo will showcase the highest level of current audio technology, combining Trinnov’s research in acoustics and human sound perception with ASCENDO’s work in advancing the state-of-the-art in subwoofer design.

Unprecedented Home Theater Bass Performance

Trinnov and ASCENDO’s joint demonstration represents several “firsts” for Audio Advice Live:

• This is the Audio Advice Live debut for Trinnov WaveForming™, a low-frequency optimization technology that achieves unprecedented bass uniformity, impact, clarity, and detail for every listener position in a space.
• ASCENDO is demonstrating at Audio Advice Live for the first time, showcasing German-engineered 16-inch active subwoofers.
• In addition, ASCENDO will bring an infrasonic bass surprise to Audio Advice Live, giving attendees an experience they won’t just hear, but feel.

The Transformative Power of WaveForming

Home theater bass is notoriously difficult to control: the acoustics of relatively small, enclosed spaces produce sound reflections, peaks, and phase cancellations, resulting in troublesome room modes and an inconsistent experience among listeners. WaveForming is a new paradigm, delivering revolutionary bass power, performance, and unprecedented consistency to every seat. 

WaveForming can be implemented with as few as four subwoofers, but for Audio Advice Live, Trinnov and ASCENDO have staged an especially impressive demonstration. The 25’ x 25’ x 8’ Magnolia 2 demo room will feature Trinnov’s flagship Altitude³² audio processor and Amplitude¹⁶ amplifiers, as well as 12 ASCENDO THE16 SUB ACTIVE SEALED subwoofers. Six subwoofers will be positioned against the front wall and six against the back wall to enable planar WaveForming, Trinnov’s unique active acoustics approach that eliminates room modes rather than compensating for them. The resulting clarity transforms the home theater experience. “WaveForming is the product of over eight years of obsessive research at Trinnov, and it was worth every moment,” says Arnaud Laborie, CEO of Trinnov Audio. “Audio Advice Live attendees will hear unmatched bass reproduction and precision throughout the entire demo space. WaveForming is available on all Trinnov Altitude audio processors and works with all  audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, AURO-3D, and DCP. Current Altitude owners with at least four subwoofers can enable WaveForming via a free software upgrade.

The Low-Frequency Immersive Sound Revolution

Twelve ASCENDO 16-inch subwoofers will deliver a WaveForming bass experience the audience won’t soon forget. The company’s active 16-inch sealed sub design delivers exceptional punch, linearity, and output in an enclosure size that works beautifully for WaveForming systems. In addition to the 16-inch subwoofers, ASCENDO will bring an infrasonic surprise to the show to handle the really low frequencies.
