RISE CEO Krissy Rushing Tomlin got her start in technology journalism in residential audio video way back in 1997, serving as Editor or Executive Editor for several national magazines, including Home Theater, Stereophile Guide to Home Theater, Connected Guide to the Digital Home, Best Buy’s BEST Magazine, and Home Theater Interiors. She learned early the nuanced language of audio video, with her byline appearing in media outlets like Wired, Prosource, TechnologyTell, and Retail Observer, as well as several custom publications for manufacturers and associations, including XM Satellite Radio, AMX, and CEDIA. Deemed an expert in both home theater and smart home tech, she authored the book “Home Theater Design.” Krissy was also the Director of Content for Telos Alliance, a broadcast AV company, and has worked with companies and media outlets in all sectors of the AV industry, including integrators, manufacturers, and PR firms. Krissy is the creative vision and primary content director at RISE.
RISE Co-Founder, Jayson Tomlin is an audio engineer and second-generation musician with a passion for education, which led him into sales, support, and ultimately representing audio manufacturers on a global scale. His career has spanned 25 years, including audio production, mastering, audiophile, broadcast, radio, streaming, and live mixing. In 2014, Jayson made an audio discovery—FiDef—that eventually became a patented technology that garnered the attention of the world’s best and most prestigious music producers. Jayson served as Senior Director of Strategic Marketing for Telos Alliance. His focus at RISE is marketing strategy, product marketing, competitive analysis, and business planning.
