ASCENDO Introduces New Ultra-Low-Noise DSP Amplifier for Whisper Quiet Home Theater Performance

ASCENDO ULN2-2604

The new DSP ULN2-2604 achieves the perfect balance of power, low latency, and whisper-quiet noise floor, protecting the sanctity of home theater performance.

Heilsbronn, Germany – (January 23, 2025) – ASCENDO Immersive Audio GmbH continues to set new standards in high-performance home theater with its new Ultra-Low-Noise (DSP ULN2-2604) amplifier, premiering at Integrated Systems Europe 2025 in Barcelona next month. This amp solves the problem of noisy, distracting DSP systems that interfere with the experience. Designed specifically for powerful and efficient active two- or three-way systems, the DSP ULN2-2604 ensures exceptional sound quality without any audible noise, making it the perfect choice for the most discerning home theater enthusiasts.

“Having powerful and low-latency DSP in a high-performance home theater system is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. Achieving the perfect balance of power and silence in amplifiers and DSP systems, however, has always been a challenge—especially in ultra-quiet rooms where even the slightest noise can be a distraction,” says Geoffrey Heinzel, co-managing partner of ASCENDO. “It took us three years of research and development to achieve the perfect balance of power and silence with the DSP ULN2-2604, which has the lowest noise floor available in home theater today.”

Ideal for larger home theaters, the DSP ULN2-2604 is a 2RU 19-inch rack-mountable enclosure, featuring back-to-front low-noise ventilation with all connections conveniently located on the back. With a low-noise 2kW amplifier stable to 4 ohms—optimized for highly dynamic woofers—and selectable 300W or 600W outputs for tweeters, this amplifier delivers an ultra-low noise floor of just 20 microvolts. A third low-noise DSP channel with balanced XLR output is included for connecting an additional amplifier and speaker if needed. Additionally, an FIR filter is included for linear phase tweeter alignment, ensuring perfect sound synchronization across all channels.

Those looking for a digital signal processor without amplification can consider ASCENDO’s new DSP-4D standalone unit.
